La Conspiration des Poudres, a play from the very beginning of Verne's literary career, is a little-known and almost uncommented work. However, it is of interest, first as a work, but also as playing an important role in the history of Verne's artistic evolution. This article attempts both to reposition La Conspiration des Poudres in Verne's history and to make it a critical approach.
