La date des dîners des « Onze sans femmes » : une rectification
Biographers have unanimously situated the dinners of the “Eleven without women” in the 1850s. However an examination of the two surviving invitations, of their present location, of a universal calendar and of the contemporary press shows that they took place much later. In any case, Verne seems to have been absent from at least one of the dinners.
