Le storm glass, un instrument de météorologie oublié, présent dans les Voyages extraordinaires
The storm glass, already known in the mid-18th century, was revived around 1860 by admiral FitzRoy as a meteorological tool for weather forecast. However, its inefficiency was readily demonstrated and it was soon forgotten. The storm glass appeared in several of the Voyages Extraordinaires published between 1867 and 1888.
